Does anyone else feel like our calendars should start with September instead of January? I mean, we all know that the actual start of the year is when summer ends and school gets underway. And yes, I know school starts in late August for many of us–but those first couple of weeks don’t really count, right? It’s not until after Labor Day that the school year feels like it’s actually underway.
So here’s your first Five for Friday of the new year: five links to edifying, amusing, or uplifting articles. I’ll be taking a break from the blog on Monday, since my kids will be home for the long weekend and I’ll be enjoying their company. Have a safe and enjoyable last weekend of summer!
